My American Bulldog is getting really stiff in his hips. He is starting to get atropy in his muscles and I am really concerned he won't be able to get up one of these days. He will be 12 but is in great shape otherwise and want him around for many years yet. He is becoming withdrawn from activity sometimes. He wants to just knows it will hurt. I've tried numerous items and give him 1 ibuprofen in the morning and sometimes at night.

If a condition is severe I start with PROMAXOL and then switch over to ARTHRO-IONX for maintenance. For either one, initially I give a half dose twice daily on the breakfast and supper meals. If you need to you can give one or two additional half doses as needed. With improvement I switch to a whole dose once a day. It is OK if you want to start with ARTHRO-IONX. If after using ARTHRO-IONX for a while, you still need more support then you could add in PROMAXOL.

I would also give PROBIOTICS and OMEGA 3,6,9 to strengthen the body and reduce inflammation. These are avilable from Vetionx as well. With rear-end weakness I also give Cholodin, a B vitamin/ Choline product to nourish the nerves. What kind of food, supplements, and water are you giving? These factors make a difference for certain conditions.
