Looked on webmd/cats, sounds and looks like my cat has mange due to mites, etc. Our cat gets Frontline plus flea/tick meds once a month. Would drinking ionX with water adversely affect her i.e flea/tick meds reside right under skin? Aggravatate her skin problems?

Dear Vivian,

You should have a skin scraping done to prove whether or not there are mites and what kind. There could be allergies or a hormonal condition. It would be safe to use DERMA-IONX with your current protocol. I would split the dose and give a half dose twice daily on the breakfast and supper food. Once improvement is seen you can switch to once daily on one of the meals. What do you feed your cat and what kind of water do you give? These factors can influence the skin.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Best regards,

Dr. Char
