I have an American Pit that is 4 years old. He was just diagnosed with Lymphoma. He is starting on predinisone today. Can you please provide any suggestions of what else I should do for him? I read another guest mentioned her dog has survived for over 7 years. I was told 2-8 months. Thanks so much!!

Dear Meredith,

I would try to find a veterinarian that has been trained in TCVM (Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine). The website www.tcvm.com has names of practitioners by states. Chinese herbs and acupuncture can be helpful when dealing with cancer. I would also give the homeopathic DIA-IONX because it contains remedies that are sometimes used with Lymphoma. I would also give probiotics to aid the immune system and OMEGA 3,6,9 to reduce inflammation.

Please let us know how you do.

Best regards,

Dr. Char www.vetionx.com
