Hello! My cat is 12 years old, a neutered male, named Riley. He has slowed down over the years but still plays with our younger cat Bob, wrestles with him, chases him, plays with leaves and can climb over our five foot fence, though not as gracefully as before! Recently he hurt his front foot. There were no signs of a wound or blood, and he could put weight on it, but he limped and was careful with it. In about a week he was walking normally again. That was about two weeks ago. Today he seems to have hurt his back left foot and leg. He can put weight on it and still jumps onto things, currently he is sleeping on our bed. However, he is limping and trying to hold the leg up when standing, and seems to not feel well. He did eat though which is encouraging. Riley is an indoor / outdoor cat and I feel like he may be injuring himself by jumping or playing and I am thinking he may have become arthritic and needs more joint support now to help him continue to have his active lifestyle. What would you suggest? Also, I have researched that cats' digestion and livers are more sensitive than dogs and we should limit the amount of medicines and herbs they take. Can you explain how your formulas are safe for cats to take routinely? Thank you so much!
