Health Questions & Answers

Just started the Arthro-ionx for my 14 year old lab mix. We started it because she has arthritis and was just diagnosed with a mild case of laryngeal paralysis, after researching this I read that an ingredient in the Arthro-ionx (Causticum) stimulates nerve paralysis. Her veterinarian, told us about having surgery and having her flap tied, but told us the high risk of her getting aspirated pneumonia and we decided to try to help her open her airways by putting her on Theophylline and trying to keep her calm. This seems to be having slight results. We also spoke about acupuncture, but there seems to be no vets in my area that specialize in Holistic medicine, and since she gets excited in the car; traveling a long distance is out of the question. Can I put her on a dosage of Causticum? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Arthro-IonX provides a homachord of potencies of Causticum. Promaxol also contains the LM potency in case you need something more. I would also give digestive enzymes, probiotics, MSM, vitamin C, and fish oil. I also like to use Geri-Form in older pets because it feeds the nerves providing B vitamins and choline. I would also try phasing in a grain free diet and give only purified water for drinking and bathing. Please let us know how you progress.
