My dog is 13 yrs old, in renal failure. Her phosphorus levels are 12, with high BUN levels. I started giving her. Kidney herbal solution which seems to have lowered her creatinine but her phosphorus remains high. My vet said she has arthritis ( shakes without Tramadol, slow walks, prefers to stay off the couch and bed now, sleeps on cold floor, sighs in pain when lifted up) and her phosphorus levels do not help. Will Arthro-IonX increase her phosphorus levels? There seems to be some form of phosphorus in the ingredients. Do you recommend taking her off Tramadol before administering Arthro-IonX or can they work together? I prefer she be on only holistic meds as I fear more kidney and or liver damage. Thank you so much!

Dear Maria,

You may use ARTHRO-IONX along with other medications or supplements so it is OK to use with Tramadol. It is homeopathic in nature and so it will not negatively interact with other physical substances. Homeopathic ingredients are diluted and succussed so many times the product would have negligible amounts of Phosphorus. Initially I would split the dose and give half with breakfast and half with supper. After improvement then you can give the whole dose once a day. OMEGA 3,6,9 is also helpful for arthritis.

With renal failure I recommend PROBIOTICS which will improve digestion and decrease the amount of waste that the kidneys will need to dispose of. Later you might also want to try DIA-IONX because it contains homeopathic remedies that help to support the kidneys since diabetics need help in that area. Please let us know how you do.

Best wishes,
