Health Questions & Answers

Hi there,

I want to know please if I have selected the best product for my 11 year old 15 hand mare who has ringbone in her front leg. She is on optimal joint support, but after 1 month still has not improved at all and is still severely lame, she has been on the crisis dose about 2 weeks, 20 ml 1 week and now on normal dose. The 3 month bottle is under half now and it has only been 1 month. I have been putting it in with a small amount of feed as I can’t make her drink it; I had her leg tested and have the exact details.

She has abnormal bone growth around coronet, is it possible nothing will work? Have I picked the right VETiONX product for her? What can I do? She should have showed some improvement by now, with that new bone growth is nothing possible to improve condition apart from operating option?

Dear Peggy,

Arthro-IonX is the product I would choose for your horse. It helps to reduce pain and inflammation as well as stimulate healing. It’s a unique product containing homeopathics to control the symptoms and stimulate healing as well as having an oligotherapeutic mineral base to catalyze the enzymes systems in the body to speed up the healing process.

If you need to do something extra, I would use PEMF therapy which is Pulsed Magnetic Therapy. It has been approved for non-union fractures in humans to stimulate bone healing. PEMF has been used in the equine world for a while. If you need help in finding someone in your area please let me know. However, I would give Arthro-IonX a little time to work and you might avoid another expense.

Please let us know how you do.

Best wishes,
Dr. Char
