Health Questions & Answers

I am a vet and have a patient using Arthro-Ionx. They have been told in the past not to use this with any other pain medication such as non-steroidal anti-inflammatories. I assume this is due to the salicilic acid it contains. Can you advise if that is correct or is the amount of salicilic acid in homeopathic quantities and therefore other pain medication safe to use at the same time?

Thank you.

One may use Arthro-IonX along with other medications or supplements. It is homeopathic in nature and so it will not negatively interact with other physical substances. Arthro-IonX helps to decrease pain and inflammation and stimulate healing. It can be used with NSAIDS safely. Sometimes doing a combination of the two works best for the pet. The goal is to use the least amount of NSAIDS possible and still maintain a good comfort level. The amounts may change over time. If there is a good response, then after a few weeks the dose should be decreased a little to see if that will work as well.

Best wishes,
