I would like to stop giving my dog the Deramax as he has recently had pancreatitis and his liver enzymes were elevated slightly. The vet wanted me to try to stop giving him the Deramax or at least cut it in half. When I give him half of the Deramax he has difficulty getting up the steps. I gave him a whole Deramax this morning and would like to start him on the Arthro-IonX ASAP. He weighs 75 lbs, would you recommend giving him 3/4 tsp twice daily till I see improvement then cut him back to once daily?

Dear Pamela,

You may use ARTHRO-IONX along with other medications or supplements so it is OK to use with Deramax. It is homeopathic in nature and so it will not negatively interact with other physical substances.

To dose ARTHRO-IONX I would split the dose and give 1/2 teaspoon with breakfast and 1/2 teaspoon with supper. After improvement you can give 3/4 teaspoon daily on one of the meals. In addition I would give PROBIOTICS. What kind of water do you give your dog?

I would recommend having a veterinary chiropractor check your dog. It often improves movement.

Please let us know how you do.,

Best wishes,
