I am inqiring about my dog is a miniature schnauzer he will be 9 years old July 9. Friday my mother noticed he walked with a limp in his back legs, saturday afternoon I noticed that he wasn't using his left front leg, we gave him Ibuprofen and he seemed better but this morning it seems to me that everything has gotten worse can you tell me what may be going on?

Dear India,

It sounds like it is more than just arthritis. If a dog can't put much pressure on one leg it has to transfer more weight to another; then it can stress that one out too. Please see your veterinarian for a check up and let us know what the diagnosis is. If you can give us more information, perhaps we can help you with more options to provide healing and comfort for your dog. PROMAXOL might be a good product to use if there is pain. It is much safer than NSAIDS. It can reduce inflammation and stimulate healing.
