I have a 16 year old Irish Terrier who has been on anti-inflammotories for around 5 years.

He is currently taking Onsior and recently we have found out that he has elevated enzyme levels in his liver and would like to cease giving him Onsior. However this is going to be difficult as he really needs pain relief for his arthritis.

Can you please advise if we can cease to give him Onsior immediately if we start him on Artho Ionx?

Thanks so much.

Loretta.

Dear Loretta,

I think you will need to do both for a while. As the body starts to heal using Arthro-IonX then you can decrease your medication gradually. The desired goal is to use as little medications that have negative side effects while still maintaining a good comfort level. I also give other things as well. I use digestive enzymes, probiotics, MSM, and fish oil. Arthro-IonX aids better utilization of the supplements for a synergistic effect.

Please let us know how you are able to proceed.

Best regards,
