Our 13+ year old Lab has been taking Rimadyl for his hips & bad knees. Would like to find something safer for him. Vetionx looks like a great alternative. The problem is our dog wont let us give him a squirt in the mouth. He is also a random drinker so putting it in his water probably wont work. Is their a way to put it in his food?

Dear Chuck,

It should be fine to give ARTHRO-IONX on the food. Initially I would split the dose in half and give half with breakfast and half with supper. After improvement is seen you can give the whole dose once a day. I like to add it to the food because it makes it more likely the entire dose is consumed. I would also give PROBIOTICS to improve digestion. You might also consider OMEGA 3,6,9 to reduce inflammation and nourish the nerves. I like to use all of these when there is arthritis. I hope you can begin to decrease the dosage of Rimadyl since the Labrador is one of the breeds that has had negative side effects from it. Please let us know how you do.

Best regards,

Dr. Char www.vetionx.com
