Dear Kim,

You can use the large bottle rather than the small pet size bottle. People who have a horse or several large dogs usually select the larger bottle. You want to make sure that you would use the bottle up in a timely fashion. Otherwise the product could deteriorate. One can get longer shelf life if you dose from a small container and leave the larger bottle closed in the refrigerator so that it is not being exposed to air and warmth so often. For a 50 pound dog the dosage is 3/4 teaspoon a day. I would split the dose between the two meals so that 1/2 teaspoon is given with breakfast and 1/4 teaspoon with supper.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Best regards,

Dr. Char
