Our 8 month old sharpei was hit by a car. There were no broken bones, but X-rays showed a hip dislocation. The veterinarian was able to relocate it but now (1week later) it was determined it was out again. Can anything be done?

Dear Beatrice,

You could give some PROMAXOL, a half dose twice daily to aid healing. In addition I would give a Standard Process product called Ligaplex 1 to support the ligament. Usually the leg is bandaged to hold it in place while the stretched ligament has time to shorten.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.
