Dr Wilson, my cat is 18-1/2 yrs old. She has a bowl movement every couple days, but sometimes strains and only a small "ball" comes out. Since her kidneys are in decline, she needs to drink lots of water, which I make sure she does. Could giving her H2O-IonX potentially cause her to drink less water? Thanks, Steve

Dear Steve,

If the dehydration and hard stools are the result of kidney failure I think you might have a better chance of lessening the water consumption with DIA-IONX rather than H20-IONX. I would give 10 drops of DIA-IONX on some canned food twice daily. In addition I would give probiotics and Omega 3,6,9 to help the kidneys and improve the stool. If the stools are still quite hard after trying these you could also add in a small amount of fiber such as Metamucil.

Please let us know how you do.

Best regards,

Dr. Char www.vetionx.com
