I have a golden retriever I have had to retire from the show ring early due to stud tail. He has a sensetive stomach and is on taste of wild as is grain free, but this has not helped his coat. The stud tail has gotten worse and the tail is quite thin now. He also plucks his feathers. I monitor his diet and exercise. I am at a loss and need imediate help for the hot spot.

You might want to try our homeopathic product, Derma-IonX, to help detoxify the body and facilitate healing. In addition I also like to give digestive enzymes, probiotics, vitamin C, MSM, and fish oil. Together with Derma-IonX there is a synergistic response for faster healing. Derma-IonX can also be sprayed onto irritated skin area as well. If possible give filtered water for drinking and bathing. If you bathe your dog I would use a shampoo that is free of sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS). Defendex is SLS free, is soothing, and does a good job of cleaning away debris. Please let us know how you do or if you have any other questions.
