Health Questions & Answers

Our Vet discovered a somewhat serious case of gingivitis in my Siamese mix. He ran tests for Bartonella but when he called today he said she was negative and just has a bad case of gingivitis and he recommended extracting her molars. She is a rescue and she is only a little over a year old. Is there any other alternative rather than extracting her molars ?????

Dear Rudy,

There are other things you can do to support her body and dental health. Co-enzyme Q 10 is nutrition for the heart and gingiva tissue. There are other supplements such as PROBIOTICS and OMEGA 3,6,9 that are helpful for dental health. The homeopathic DIA-IONX contains remedies that reduce inflammation. I would also offer a little bit of organic butter. What do you feed and what kind of water do you give? Nutrition is important.

Best regards,

Dr. Char
