My 3 year old, 13 lb. Yorkie has begun to have a foul odor, not her breath. Don't know what to do. I've tried bathing her but it's back in a couple of days. Should I take her to the vet?

Dear Elizabeth,

You should take her to your veterinarian. Some dogs develop anal gland problems which can be smelly. If that is the problem your veterinarian can express the glands and if necessary prescribe antibiotics.

If there is a skin infection your veterinarian can determine the cause. Please let us know what you find out and we can suggest some holistic options.

Best regards,
