Dear Barbara,

Most people find it easiest to use a prescription diabetic food. The large companies such as Purina and Science Diet make one. You could try celery if your dog needs to chew.

You might want to look at our homeopathic DIA-IONX to reduce the symptoms of diabetes. I also use supplements with it such as probiotics, MSM, and Omega 3,6,9.

Your veterinarian can show you how to give injections. Maybe you can give a small piece of turkey hotdog after you give the shot so your dog will be more cooperative. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Best regards,
