Health Questions & Answers

One of the feral cats that I feed has a skin diorder that he continually is chewing and scratching. He has hair loss and his skin is bumpy and hot to the touch. Do you think that the Derma-IonX would help him? Could it be put in the water dish that is shared by 10 other feral cats and not hurt them? Could it be sprayed on him without it burning? I put some waterless shampoo(with omega 3 oils) for cats on his back and he acted as if it was burning his skin. He ran and when he came to eat his skin looked irritated and red.

I don't think I could put him in a cat carrier to take to the vet because he won't let you hold him.

Any advice would be greatfully appreciated.

Thank you for your time.

You may add Derma-IonX to the common water dish without harming the other cats. If he eats separately you can also add it to his food (make sure the dish is not made of metal). Then you know he has gotten a fair amount. It should not hurt to spray it on him, but he may not like to sprayed even with water.

Please let us know how you do or if you have any other questions.

Best wishes,
