Hello, My 12 year old female Maine Coon was diagnosed with the above in January and was given a shot. The bumps did not clear up & are back again. I do not want to give her another shot & wanted to know if this product would work for this type of dermatitis or even some type of shampoo? She is scratching quite a bit. Thank you kindly, Nancy

Hi Nancy~

DERMA-IONX has been helpful in miliary dermatitis. With miliary, I suggest that the cat be checked for parasites; You might want to do this if it hasn't been done recently. Tapeworms especially affect skin quality. As for dosing the DERMA-IONX, I prefer to add 10 drops onto some canned food twice daily at breakfast and supper. If you need to you can give another 10 drops orally at bedtime. I would also suggest feeding a grain free diet that uses fish or turkey as the protein source if the cat is not allergic to any of these. It would also be helpful to avoid treats that have artificial ingredients added. I also give probiotics, and Omega 3,6,9 to reduce inflammation in the body and help the skin to heal.

Please keep us updated so we can help guide you.
