My 15 yr old cat has been diagnosed with lupus. She is currently taking a steroid daily but it doesn't seem to be helping her itchy, flaky hair loss skin. Will the Derma-IonX help her skin? She constantly licks and knaws at her skin all day and night and it is heartbreaking. I've tried omega 3 acids in liquid form she will not eat wet food with it in it and supplements but they are not working either. Please help with a recommendation. I hate her being on steroids. Thanks.

Dear Jamie,
DERMA-IONX which is an oral homeopathic product stimulates the enzyme systems in the body which reduces itching and inflammation, promotes healing of the skin, and helps with assimilation of nutritional components in diet and supplements. I would also suggest that you give your cat only filtered water for drinking and bathing if your water contains chlorine or fluoride. For the dietary modifications you might want to try a grain free diet for a while. Because you are using steroids this can slow the response When you see some improvement ask your veterinarian about lowering the dosage of the steroids.
Please feel free to contact us again if you have any other questions.
Best wishes,
