My 16 yr male diabetic cat has been having issues with his diabetes for the past week. He has been going for observation to the vet daily and still can't get his levels under control. Switched from dry to wet food and still can't get him regulated. Do you think there could be any other issues going on? He's had diabetes for 6 yrs and in the last week has crashed 2 times tested at 20 on Thursday and untested on Sunday. Do you have any recommendations for food or supplements? Thank you

Dear Julie,

I like Purina's Feline canned DM and Purina's Forti Flora probiotics. You could also do some digestive enzymes and a fish oil supplement. Dia-IonX helps with the symptoms of diabetes and helps the body better utilize the other supplements.

It is good your veterinarian is checking for other causes. Sometimes infection or some other disease can cause instability in blood glucose levels. Please let us know what you find out.

Best wishes,
