Our 11 year old cat recently had his rabies and distemper vaccines. A few days later he was lethargic and at one point I thought he had died in his sleep. I took him to the vet who said his fever was 104. His blood work was good so she gave him an antibiotic and fever reducer injection. I took him home but when he got out of this carrier he could not use his hind legs and I had to syringe feed him. After 36 hours I took him back because he was not better. He stayed for 3 days. The vet says he has some arthritis in the right hip. He has a lot of difficulty walking and navigating stairs. Is there an anti-inflamitory we can give him to ease his pain?

Dear Shaun,

I would get some homeopathic Thuja 30C (from health food store) to address the vaccination issue and PROMAXOL (from Vetionx) to help reduce the pain and inflammation. Thuja can help the other homeopathics work better after vaccinations. In addition it would be helpful to give PROBIOTICS and OMEGA 3,6,9 to help the immune system and reduce the inflammation. When you give PROMAXOL, I would start by giving 10 drops twice daily. With improvement you can give 20 drops once daily.

Please let us know of your response and we can help along the way.

Best regards,

Dr. Char www.vetionx.com
