My dog has very dry skin and scratches constantly, until she bleeds. But I don’t see anything on her. What do I do?

Dear Teresa,

I would suggest that you use Derma-IonX for your dog. It will help to soothe the skin because of its antioxidant activity and help it to heal as well. Also, adding a high quality fish oil supplement to the diet can help with dryness.

If you haven't already used a flea comb with metal teeth to check for fleas or flea excrement (black specks) please do so. When there is a flea problem most of the fleas are in the environment and not on the animal, so you may only see the flea debris. If you suspect this, Defendex shampoo will help rid the pet of any fleas on the body and cool the hot skin as well.

We hope these suggestions will make life better for both you and your dog.

Sincerely,
Dr. Char
