Strider will not let us give him his shots now. He gets two a day, one in the morning and one at night. Any suggestions on how we can give him his daily insulin shots? He was good at first, but now he is on to us and is scared…and we don’t blame him.

Sincerely,

Paula and Donna B.

Dear Paula,

You could bribe Strider with a really good treat such as a freeze dried meat nibblet treat. Give the treat and then immediately give the shot. Most animals love it and beg for more. The small amount of meat should not interfere with the dietary restrictions. Hope this makes the routine easier. For your sake I hope that you might be able to decrease your insulin dosage eventually if Dia-IonX can activate the body's healing response. If you could let me know what you are feeding, and giving as treats and supplements, and doing for exercise we can discuss whether you need to tweak anything to get better results.

Best wishes,
Dr. Char
