Dear Richard,

I do not advise using human products for dogs. Aspirin can irritate the stomach. If given, food needs to be given with it to prevent the pill from touching the stomach lining and needs to be dosed by body weight. A safer alternative would be the homeopathic PROMAXOL. It helps to reduce pain and inflammation and is very helpful for hip pain. In addition I also like to give probiotics, MSM, vitamin C, and Omega 3,6,9. If you can find a veterinary chiropractor for an evaluation, He or she might be able to reduce the stress on the hips.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Best regards,
