Breed: alsatian pomeranian cross My dog aged 14 years is not eating food since 9 days. It is even not taking any liquid food like milk etc or pedigree also. Doesn't seem to have interest in eating. He is unable to get up & walk by himself. Till day before yesterday he was not passing tools also. Yesterday he passed dark tools and vomited light brownish stick water. He is not even responding to other dogs when they bark at him. He is looking at us when we call him. He has hardly barked since these 9 days. Local vet is unable to diagnose the problem. Local vet has treated him with Intralyte (IV) 250ml + Amikacin Injection 2.5 ml (Antibiotic) + Rantac Inj 2.5 ml ( Antacid) + B.Complex Inj 2 ml three times. But we feel that condition is not improved at all & is becoming serious. Please help me. We also got his blood tested for liver and kidney functions. Please find the test results below: Urea : 204 mg/dl S.Creatinine : 16.3 mg/dl LFT S.Bilirubin Total : 0.9 mg/dl S.Bilirubin Direct : 0.2 mg/dl S.Bilirubin Indirect : 0.7 mg/dl Total Protein : 5.5 gm/dl S.Albumin : 2.1 gm/dl Globulin : 3.4 gm/dl A/G Ratio : 0.6:1 SGOT : 60 Unit/L SGPT : 63 Unit/L Alkaline Phosphate : 70 U/L HBs Ag : Negative

Dear Hima,

These are not good numbers. Has a CBC been done? Have there been any radiographs taken? I hope your dog will respond to the fluid therapy and will start to feel a little better. If you want to try homeopathy you might consider Dia-IonX because it contains remedies that support the liver and kidneys. You could administer it orally since it is liquid. You might ask your veterinarian if it is possible to give something like A/D orally to keep the intestinal tract working? It needs a little something to keep the cells healthy. Looking forward to your reply.

Best regards,
