Health Questions & Answers

I am using Derma-IonX on a sore that my dog (Saboo) has had for a while. Gone thru 1 bottle and medicine from the doctor and he still is licking. Any other suggestions. When I tell him to stop he will, but if I do not pay attention, he goes back to licking. The doc gave him steroids and I do not want to continue that .

Dear Salimah,

The other things that I would consider is Canine Probiotics and Omega 3,6,9 to reduce the inflammation in the body and skin. You can also give a quarter or half dose of DERMA-IONX internally several times a day. Steroids can slow down the response of homeopathics so try to use a minimal amount. The other thing that I do is to have a veterinary chiropractor check for proper spinal alignment. A subluxation can cause tingling and cause a dog to lick or chew a spot. If this is the case an adjustment will help the healing process. What diet and treats have you been giving lately?

Best wishes,

Dr. Char
