I have had my dog at an allergist for at least a year. No good results. I spent well over $5000 last year treating at the allergist. With no results I decided to go back to his regular vet no results. I have a Bischon Frise who is prone to allergies. He now has what appears to be black heads all over his body. His skin is discolored. What could cause a dog to have black heads?

Dear Barbara,

Blackheads can be caused by hyperadrenalcorticism. Allergies can overdrive the adrenal glands. I would try DERMA-IONX, PROBIOTICS, and OMEGA 3,6,9 to help with the allergy processs. If something else is needed after you give this some time to make changes I would give DIA-IONX to help rebalance the endocrine system. What food and supplements have you given your dog? When did this all start? Do you have any idea what triggered it?

Best regards,
