Derma-IonX has worked on my Airedale (Duke), with seasonal allergy skin issues. His skin looks good, but he is still shaking his head. Is the ear a seperate issue beyond the Derma-IonX treatment. If it is, what would you recommend? He has a history of bacterial ear infections. Tyrone

Dear Tyrone,

I would try to consult with a veterinary chiropractor. Sometimes the vertebrae in the neck can be a little off which will reduce drainage from the ears so that the ears remain damp allowing organisms to grow more easily. An adjustment can be helpful in those cases. I also use an ear product called Zymox Otic to get the infection under control. I would continue with Derma-IonX during that time. Probiotics and Omega 3,6,9. would be helpful as well working to restore balance from the inside.

Best regards, Dr. Char
