My dog has been diagnosed with diabetes...the vet put him on W/D (she was on that last year to lose weight) but she is losing more weight and poops so much...I switched her to Fromm grain free but she is still pooping a lot. Is there a dog food I can put her on to control glucose but that won't be so harsh on her bowels?

Dear Carol,

Purina makes DCO Diabetes Colitis. Royal Canin makes Diabetic HF 18. With whatever food you feed it would aid the digestion of it if you gave probiotics. Increased assimilation will lessen the amount of stool. Vetionx offers a good probiotic and we also recommend Omega 3,6,9.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Best regards,

Dr. Char www.vetionx.com
