We have an 8 year old, 11 lb. Maltipoo. Diagnosed with diabetes about 18 months ago. Cosmo (our dog) has ever been a good, regular eater. This makes regulating glucose levels difficult. Our vet recently switched Cosmo to "Vetsulin" from regular human N insulin. Would Cosmo be a good candidate for Dia-IonX?

Dear Scott,

We recommend that you continue to use insulin along with DIA-IONX. DIA-IONX will help with the symptoms of diabetes and help support the pancreas, liver, and kidneys. It takes time to get healing to occur and so that is why one should use insulin. Initially start with a half dose twice daily on the breakfast and supper meals. After you see improvement then you can switch to a whole dose on one of the meals. It is also good to combine it with other supplements such as PROBIOTICS, OMEGA 3,6,9, and MSM. It is best to offer filtered water. Diet and treats will also influence your progress.

It is important to monitor blood glucose levels so that you will know when you need to talk to your veterinarian about adjusting your therapy. If the body begins to make more functional insulin then you would need to lower your insulin dose so that you would not be overdosing.

Please keep us updated so we can help guide you.

Best regards,

Dr. Char www.vetionx.com
