Will this supplement help with 9 month old Irish setter that is suffering in Florida from zitting behind and hair loss. She is on a routine of Nextgard and heartgard. I changed her from Triflexis thinking that might be the problem. No corn - she eats Bil Jac. Comes and go. I have been able to use a wound wash which dries them up to heal.

Dear Mary,

I would feed a grain free fish or turkey dog food. These are considered to be cooling according to Chinese food therapy. Chicken is warming and so is not a good choice in the summer or for hot skin. However if your dog is allergic to a food do not feed it.

I would also give a half dose of DERMA-IONX twice daily on the breakfast and supper food to help heal the skin. I also like to give PROBIOTICS and OMEGA 3,6,9 to support the immune system and reduce inflammation. If you need to bathe your dog, DEFENDEX shampoo is very healing because it contains homeopathics and essential oils.

Please let us know how what response you get.

Best regards,
