Health Questions & Answers

Hi, I have a 12 year old mixed breed dog. He is approimately 20 lbs overweight. I am working on this and he is losing the weight slowly. He has weakened rear legs with some swelling in the joints of the rear legs. The vet states that he has arthritis. I would like to know the difference between the Arthro-IonX and the Promaxol. Also, would it be best to use both and if so, what would be the best dose for both. My baby weighs 82 lbs. He has been rx';D Tramadol for pain. I want to be able to help with his stiffness and at times weakness in his back legs. Thank you.

Dear Sharon,

I like to start with PROMAXOL because it contains all the ingredients of ARTHRO-IONX plus the LM potencies of each ingredient. Initially I would split the dose and give a 1/2 teaspoon on the breakfast food and 1/4 teaspoon on the supper food. Once you see improvement you can switch to ARTHRO-IONX. I would also give PROBIOTICS and OMEGA 3,6,9 to support the body and help with weight loss. What do you feed him and what kind of water does he get? These factors influence arthritis symptoms.

I would also get a veterinary chiropractic exam. Proper alignment can help the healing process.
