My senior -12-full size Yorkie?(25 lbs red and black) seems to be drinking a lot and urinating a lot and seems to have developed cataracts? and is very very lethargic. Her urine seems "sticky" when it dries. I am a senior myself and cannot afford a vet. Do you think the Dia-IonX would work? TIA

Dear JoAnn,

I would suggest you call a veterinarian and ask them if they can check a urine sample for you without scheduling an appointment. You might be dealing with an infection and/ or diabetes. You can try DIA-IONX because it helps to control the symptoms of diabetes and kidney disease and it's therapeutic mineral base helps activate the enzyme systems in the body that help with healing. Some owners have told us it has helped stabilize the blood glucose levels. The dose I start with is a half dose twice per day on the breakfast and supper food. In addition I like to give probiotics, MSM, and Omega 3,6,9 daily. These supplements can really make a difference. DIA-IONX will help the body better utilize the other supplements for a synergistic response. In addition make sure that you offer sufficient water free of chlorine. When pets have diabetes usually insulin is given. If the blood glucose level is very high it is important to get it lowered quickly.

It is important to keep blood glucose levels down to lessen the chances of kidney disease and neuropathy.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Best wishes,
