Hi, Dr. Char My cat, Tony, has been on Dia-Ionx for several years now and it has helped him go from 14u of insulin /day to only 3u/day. Can he, over time, become resistant to Dia-ionx? I only feed him FFeast Classic or Chunky or Sliced varieties of chicken, turkey, trout or tuna varieties or mixed grill because they are lower in carbs, but he started throwing up more often so I started adding in FF Classic beef, but his sugar skyrocketed. So, I've cut the beef and now he's very hungry again. Karen

Check to see if all the flavors you are giving are 2% carbohydrates or less.

My list of 2% or lower carbohydrates includes:

Friskies Classic Pate Salmon

Fancy Feast - Savory Salmon Feast, Turkey and Giblets Feast, and White Meat Chicken Florentine.

In addition I find it helpful to give probiotics and Omega 3,6,9.

How much DIA-IONX are you giving, how often, and by what method?
