I have a Jack Russell who is 12 years old. She is about 20 pounds (overweight) and takes Rx Dermaxx for arthritis and is presently taking Dia-IonX with great success for 2.5 months. I';D like to try the Arthro-IonX and take her off of the prescription Dermaxx and try straight herbal remedies, to hopefully extend her quality of life. First, can Dia and Arthro be taken together? At what dosages for her weight? Also can I increase her Dia from 1/2 tsp to higher if I am seeing a slight increase in her symptoms again? Can she take 3/4 tsp? Best regards, Tracy

Dear Tracy,

You can use both products at different times of the day. I would try giving 1/2 teaspoon of DIA-IONX in the morning with breakfast. Later in the day I would give 1/4 teaspoon of ARTHRO-IONX twice daily with one dose being at supper. Please let us know how that works for you. Once you see some improvement discuss with your veterinarian about reducing the dose of Deramaxx. If you see an increase in symptoms in regards to DIA-IONX I would first try 1/4 teaspoon of DIA-IONX twice daily at different times. Frequency given in homeopathy is nearly as important as quantity. We can help you try to find the best dosing times.

Best regards,
