My cat, Misty has just been diagnosed with diabetes, she is also hyperthyroid. I ordered two bottles of Dia-IonX for her because I need an alternative treatment. She is not the kind of cat that will tolerate 2 shots a day. She's already miserable and afraid of us because we give her meds (in her ear) for the hyperthyroid. We have two other cats and I need to know if it is OK for them to drink water that has the Dia-IonX in it? Thanks

Dear Janet,

It would be safe for your other cats if you add it to the water, but I prefer to add DIA-IONX to the food, giving a half dose on the breakfast and supper food. That way the entire daily dose will more likely be consumed by the intended recipient. DIA-ONX is usually used along with insulin.

Please let us know how you do so we can help guide you.

Best regards,
