My male cat has dermatitis - skin issues after flea problem. With fleas gone he still has outbreaks. Mostly tail and lower back region. He licks that area alot. Have been using Derma -IonX formula in his food and direct spray on skin but he still exhibits problems. What can I do to relieve his skin ailment. My other cat is flea free and has no problems. Thank you

Dear Trish,

It is common to develop skin issues after having had fleas. Cats can develop an allergy to flea saliva and also acquire tapeworms from the fleas. I would check on having your cat wormed for tapeworms. I would also give PROBIOTICS and OMEGA 3,6,9 to restore the gut and reduce inflammation. This usually improves the skin and coat.

Please let us know of your response.
