My dog has all the skin irritations itching red loss of hair. the vet said may be food allergies. We have had him on grain free food for 2 years. It has helped but he is really bad now. we are interested in your product, but the bottle  says a 30 day - 4 oz bottle for a 30lb dog. He is 40 lbs. we are on a budget for I am legally blind and we can afford the monthly bottle if that will be all he needs. My question is the dose he will need.

Dear Sherry,

The dose is 3/4 teaspoon per day. In the beginning I would split the dose and give 1/2 teaspoon with breakfast and 1/4 teaspoon with supper. After there is improvement then you can give 3/4 teaspoon with breakfast. The supplement I would encourage you to use is probiotics. The gut needs to heal to reduce allergies. If you have vitamin C at home that is good to use too. Together with DERMA-IONX it produces a synergistic effect for a faster response. I would also suggest that you give your dog only filtered water for drinking and bathing if your water contains chlorine or fluoride. For the dietary modifications a grain- free diet is good but I would choose a fish or turkey based diet since these are considered cooling foods in Chinese food therapy.

Please feel free to contact us again if you have any other questions or to update us on your progress..

Best wishes,
