My 16 yr old cat has developed dermatitis. She's been on a urinary tract diet for over 10 years, but suddenly quit eating it. We thought a grain-free diet would help, so changed over to high quality EVO (trying to keep away from the minerals which cause her crystals). She still has the bald spots and bumps.Steroids helped but for a limited period of time. Using Coconut oil on her skin seems to ease some of the itching, but she needs more. The spots keep spreading. Vet can't figure it out. Does Derma-IonX contain minerals which would prohibit my using with her special diet?

Dear Debby,

It should not be a problem. I would only use a small amount, only 10 drops twice a day. That is less than the label directions and generally works well for cats.

Best regards,
