I've just received my first bottle of Derma-IonX, and I will have to put it in my cat's water as he will not let me spray it on his leg (where he needs the treatment) or give it to him orally. His water dish holds two cups of water, and I change it each morning. I understand the dose if I were giving it to him orally would be 1/2 teaspoon daily. However, it will be getting diluted in his water, and he never empties the water bowl. So, what would the appropriate dose be to put in the water.

Dear Bill,

I prefer to add it to the food. I would try adding a half dose to the breakfast food and a half dose to the supper food. By adding it to the food, it is more likely your pet will consume the entire amount. After you see some change you can switch to giving a whole dose once a day. Be sure to use a nonmetal bowl.

Please keep us updated on your progress.
