My son's dog was diagnosed with a "Compressed Disc". He is 7 yrs old and not overweight. The Vet has put him on 4 medicines. He is in a bit of discomfort, it is affecting his appetite. I have been giving Arthro-IonX to my 11 year old Wheatie for 3 years and he is doing very well. I was wondering if Arthro-IonX would work for my son's dog or if you could suggest something else that could help? Thanks, Maddy

Dear Maddy,

ARTHRO-IONX or PROMAXOL would be helpful for the disc problem. Probiotics and Omega 3,6,9 can be given to aid digestion and reduce inflammation which improves healing. A product from Standard Process called Ligaplex 2 is also helpful in providing nutrition for the discs. I would also avoid a diet that contains any GMO grains that can increase inflammation. Make sure activity is restricted to prevent jumping and twisting.

Acupuncture and chiropractic can be very effective in providing relief for the disc. Many times outcomes can be better than surgery. If you have any other questions please let us know.
