I have been using Dia-IonX on my cat that is in diabetic remission, she is not on insulin. Recently she had bloodwork and was low in potassium and phospherous. Could this be the cause? Also is Dia-IonX safe for a cat that has some kidney failure and in diabetic remission? Thanks.

Dear Linda,

DIA-IONX is safe for a cat that has compromised kidneys and is in diabetic remmission. Renal diets are low in protein and so would be low in Phosphorus. Is this your cat that is hyperthyroid?
