Sam is a 7 year old neutered male short hair domestic. He has been overgrooming. We changed his diet to a grain free wet food - and his late evening dry food snack. He has licked off his hair on this stomach and left hind quarter. For the past 30 days we have added Derma-IonX to his evening meal. His fur looks great and feels silky. How do we stop the over grooming?

Dear Gene,

Besides DERMA-IONX I also recommend PROBIOTICS and OMEGA 3,6,9. What kind of water do you give?

Have you had a stool sample checked recently? Sometimes parasites can cause a cat to groom excessively. Do you think there is an anxiety issue? Are there other cats in the neighborhood or other competition in the household (human or pet)?

Best regards,
