My kitty (12 years old) started licking her fur off her inner legs and tummy shortly after we switched brands of litter, We have tried (in vain) to find a substitute litter that has no chlorophyll and are having a challenge. Her vet has been giving almost monthly injections of Depo Medrol since September and it only lasts about a month. She is VERY resistant to oral medications, and I must trick her into receiving topical treatments. I need help as the Depo Medrol should not be a continued therapy.

Dear SueEllen,

I like to use plain clay litter. If I can't find that, I have gotten Oil Dry or similar product. Read the label to make sure there isn't anything else added to the clay. Clumping litter can leave a residue inside the intestines when it is ingested while grooming. I would also give DERMA-IONX to help with the skin symptoms. In addition PROBIOTICS and OMEGA 3,6,9
reduce inflammation and so it is soothing to the skin.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Best regards,
