We have a Maine Coon female that is 16 months old. Here in the past week she has developed some area on her head where there is some hair loss along with some red inflamed skin. She is on topical flea preventative monthly. We have 5 other cats all indoors who have not had any of these problems. She was taken to our vet on July 3 and was prescribed Tresaderm. After reading multiple negative reviews for this medication we really don't feel comfortable using it. Any advice would be very much appreciated.

Dear Jimmy,

I would try DERMA-IONX giving a half dose twice daily with breakfast and supper to help the skin. After you see some positive response you can give a whole dose on one of the meals. In addition I would also give PROBIOTICS and OMEGA 3,6,9 to nourish the skin.

Please let us know how your cat responds or if you have any other questions.

Best regards,
