My dog had a blood work up and they found that she has dangerously low platelet count, which they say is a sign of cancer but they were not able to locate the cancer. I have since found a large mass in her inner back thigh that I would think is the cancer. She is 12 yrs old and I can't afford treating cancer. She is still vibrant and full of life but shows signs of pain such as panting for no reason and at night trembling in her sleep. I have been giving her doggie aspirins but the label reads that it can cause stomach bleeding. I want her to be comfortable during her final years. What would you recommend?

Dear Teresa,

I would stop the aspirin because you already have a low platelet count which could increase the likelihood of bleeding. Instead I would use PROMAOL to decrease the pain and reduce any bleeding that might occur. I would also use Canine probiotics to support the immune system. I also recommend acupuncture to address the cause of the panting.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.
