I read somewhere on here you can even spray this on the skin.. can you do this? I have an Italian Greyhound whose foot is curled and stiff and he licks.. the vet says most likely arthritis, but only gives me pain pills for him which he is on now twice a day.. Can i give this orally and then topically? Please help me?

Yes you can spray the homeopathic on the foot as well as giving it orally. Initially I split the dose and give a half dose on the breakfast food and a half dose on the supper. After improvement is seen I switch to a whole dose once a day on one of the meals.

Other factors are also important when dealing with arthritis. What kind of food, water, treats, and other medications do you give? Have you tried veterinary chiropractic or acupuncture? Does your dog tend to seek warm or cool spots.

Response-Customer: Thank you. My dog seeks warm always.. he is an Italian greyhound.

Itís only his paw at the moment, but I do hear cracking in his entire shoulder at times, and the vet says itís most likely arthritis.

I have him on pain meds, that is all they have prescribed to me.. they acted like there wasnít much they could do.

I also have him on glucosamine treats once a day. He eats Blue Buffalo hard food. I will mix on his food and see if there is any improvement.

Most days he doesnít walk on it, and canít even jump on the bed.. He always licks at it and I feel so bad for him.

Reply-Dr. Wilson: Which Blue Buffalo formula do you give? Do you give filtered water?

Response-Customer:I use Blue Buffalo Senior dog small bites & no I do not use filtered water for the my dog. Blue Buffalo is holistic. I did receive my bottle and I am on day 2 no changes. I had put it on his food 2 times now. I decided to not give him his pain/ anti-inflammatory pill to see how that would go.. it didnít go well. He was limping by morning, so I had to give him his pain pill. Thanks and let me know what else you would recommend. Should I be using filtered water?

Reply-Dr. Wilson: I would offer filtered water. Initially I prefer to give a half dose of ARTHRO-IONX twice daily with the breakfast and supper meals. Once you see some improvement you can switch to a whole dose once a day. As the pain is managed better talk to your veterinarian about decreasing the dosage of the pain medication.

In addition I would use OMEGA 3,6,9 to reduce inflammation and PROBIOTICS to help restore the flora from having used the pain medication. Veterinary chiropractic can also be helpful in limiting stress on the joints.
